BABY BEAVER UPDATE: Growing Big!

The baby Beaver that was brought into us in July (see brief history below) has grown a lot over the winter! Our photographer, Dana Giron, showed up at dinner time last week, and was able to capture him holding one of his favorite vegetables, corn on the cob🌽… which he later stashed in his house, we assume for a late night snack! 😂

To give you a perspective on his size, the dog house behind him is 24 inches high. Our plan is that within the next few weeks he will have his freedom, so stay tuned! 💫 – Fran Kitchen

BEAVER BACKGROUND: Back in July we posted a video of a baby beaver, appx 4 weeks old, that was found but should have been left alone as mom was not far away. My intention is to condition him for release back to the wild in the spring.

REMEMBER: Please don’t be too hasty to assume a baby is an orphan. Mother is often close by and out of sight watching her babies or off looking for food.
