We are getting a lot of calls from people who are finding baby birds on the ground.
In most cases these are fledglings exploring and learning how to fly. Momma is close by watching from afar. Unless these birds are obviously injured, LEAVE THEM ALONE! They are still dependent on their parents to teach them survival skills such as danger awareness, foraging for food and migration routes. – Fran Kitchen
