Turtles On The Move…And Laying Eggs
If you see a turtle crossing the road and decide to help, you need to put it to the side of the road it is going to, not coming from.
This is the time of year that they are on the move because they are looking for a place to lay eggs.
I’ve a call already from a person that found a turtle in their yard laying eggs and instead of leaving it alone they picked it up and took it to a pond. PLEASE LEAVE THEM ALONE AND ALLOW THEM TO LAY THEIR EGGS. They will cover the eggs and go back to where they came from.
